Hi, Thank you for taking the time to read my website.

This is where I try and tell you what kind of peron I am. As you will see on the next page I have an extensive range of qualifications and training I have attended but I believe these are not the only important things when caring for children.  I believe that a Child Carer should be someone who a child feels safe with (and parent) is easy to talk too, patient, calm, caring, empathetic, positive, has a good sense of humour, is motivated, creative, trustworthy, reliable, flexible, experienced, understanding and fun. I hope that sums me up :)

I have 12 years experience of working in the Social Care field. I am a qualified Social Worker but not currently practicing. Currently i work with 11-18 year olds who have suffered a loss or have mental health issues.  I have lots of experience in working with people with disabilities and learning difficulties to include administering medication. I have experience of working with young children and teenagers in a number of settings and as a parent and much older sibling. I always treat all children with the same care and attention as my own child.

My hobbies and interests are Music, Playing games, Cooking, Interior design and anything to do with animals particularly Cats. We have pets and they are a big part of our family. We are very consciensious as a family in terms of Health and Hygiene and our pets behaviour and safety. Please ask me if you have any further questions about this.

I feel it is important that when you are choosing a care provider that you visit many services to ensure you choose the right service for your family. Also do not be shy about asking to see any documents or to have copies. I also have people you can contact for references.
